Although I know most of the mentioned points in this article, it is still good as a brainstorming. And I got several new things as well, like changing pillows and having a certain, relaxing fragrance. One forgotten thing is about the bed (mattress) itself, which needs to be re-positioned, cleaned and put under the UV sun lights every two weeks. This is in order to avoid unbalance spiral wire inside it, and having clean/healthy mattress, free of bugs, etc.

Great piece, I have only recently become interested in decorating and redecorating, so I am still a novice. Had never thought of taking notice or care of the headboard, it certainly makes a difference. Also, your advice on having aromatic candles burn at night sounds like a good way to freshen up the room!

I had no clue so much consideration was put into deciding which items would best fit together, this guide changed all that. Not only does the style of covers change the overall feeling a room contains but so does a combination of color with the right taste suited to each person ” nesting ” in said bed. As I come from a more antique age of furnature, understanding that it can feel pale, bleak or stark in contrast to the vibrant strength seen in the more modern bedroom suite. The only thing I can imagine missing to any room is wall design and art. Too often are we left seeing rooms with bare walls adjourned with vibrant shapes and shades. This will help anyone pave a path to getting a feel for how to make your house a home.

The transformation of the bedroom in the video is really impressive. The price tags that appear are quite helpful, and would be even more so if there were some sort of info as to where the items were purchased. Showing “before and after” screenshots with the itemized and total cost at the end of the video would be a great addition.

These are some nice tips, especially the part of “Your bed area is your resting place.” with some nice fragrance by aromatic candles, we can build up the mood for something that needs to be romantic, if you know what i mean haha. So in general it could improve your marriage life IMO.

It’s great you came up with this post, as I couldn’t figure out how to brighten my own bedroom as it has been trapped in its old state for years. Who knew that changing the sheets in the bedroom and updating them with different pillow designs every two weeks can totally brighten things up!

A friend of mine is getting married and all she can talk about is the dozen or so bed sheets she’s purchased for her new bedroom. I make fun of her every time she mentions bed sheets but I suppose now that I read your article, I understand what she’s on about. “The bedroom area is the place you go to unwind after a long day.” You’re so right. I really need to start paying more attention and start beautifying my bedroom a little. Thank you for the wonderful article and for the video. You somewhat opened my mind.

I really enjoyed this article! It was very informative, but also simplified the task of redecorating the bedroom. I painted my walls with a lovely mesh of jade greens, some time ago, and it really is astounding, just how much the walls alone can set the tone for the rest of the room, especially if given a little texture with plastic grocery bags. It made the room feel so much more organic and serene. I’ll have to try to match it up with a new mirror and some pillows, next.

Your tips have certainly got my creative juices flowing. I have been wanting to redo my bedroom for quite a while. I just haven’t been able to get the ideas in my mind well enough to implement them constructively. I like the idea of a new headboard. I’m not satisfied with the one I have and I believe that would be a great starting point in adding something more special to my bedroom.

I thought that this was a great topic and you have really good ideas. We have renovated our bedroom a little bit by just painting and adding a few objects, but we would like to do more. We are thinking about getting a new carpet that will match our room because the one we have is that ugly brown color that they put in all the houses. I loved reading your topic and hope you make more.

I thought the post was also to the point, you told us what we needed to know and gave us facts of how to create the bed, the words you used were creative and you did not leave any information out good job.

Great article, I loved the video. It motivated me to make some small but effective updates to my bedroom. Changing my sheets is my favorite feeling and can totally give the room a lift!

  13. Sara says:

Interesting article — the video is a nice touch and very informative. I’ll definitely want to try out the aromatic candles, I never thought of burning them at night to get that nice scent throughout the day!

  14. Janice Kim says:

This post is a spot on. The bedroom may be primarily for sleeping, but that doesn’t mean it should be neglected as a design space. I don’t usually use carpets, however, I think it is a good idea to place one and match it with the bed sheet to make it look more alluring.

  15. Laura Gonzalez says:

It’s a good post, although I recently worked on renovating a room in my house and worked a lot with recycling what I already had but painting in new colors. It is a good idea to renovate without having to spend so much money on buying all new stuff.

  16. Marcus Stephenson says:

It was thorough to the point it needed to be. I would like to add that the secondary point “Your bed area is your resting place” is a good philosophical addition that adds to the understanding of a bed and why it’s important.
